Introduction

G9SP Configurator is a complementary software that allows users to configure, program, simulate and monitor G9SP Safety Controllers. A free copy can be obtained by contacting your OMRON representative.

Scenario

Using the Discrepancy and/or Fault outputs of a Safety function block. The outputs work fine under simulation mode, but not in practice with the hardware:

Solution

For the discrepancy and fault FB outputs to work the G9SP MUST be locked - the ”LOCK” LED on the front of the unit should be constantly illuminated - not flashing.

To Lock the G9SP, select the Communication - Lock menu item.
